Rick realized the many benefits of bamboo as a fiber, and he embraced the opportunnity to use his design and product development expertise to create better quality and higher durability bamboo towels. Nina, also active in the Integrative Medicine industry, observed that allergic diseases cause illness and disability in many people's lives. She realized that Rick's bamboo towels were not only soft and natural, but that bamboo also has hypoallergenic effects, along with using one-third fewer pesticides than cotton towels. They both knew they had a product that would be great for both the consumer and the environment.
