Launched in 2005 by Ali Hewson and Bono, EDUN was founded on the premise of Trade FOR Aid as a means of building sustainable communities. The company works on a micro-level to help build workers' skill sets at the factories where the clothes are produced, fostering sustainable employment in developing areas such as sub-Saharan Africa. EDUN also acts as a voice to encourage the fashion community to do business in Africa and thereby help bring the continent out of extreme poverty. EDUN is a full fashion collection for men and women, inspired by 1920's Berlin Weimar culture and the artistic romance of Art Nouveau. Distinguishing details include black lacquered buttons and prints, grograin and velvet ribbon, shiny black zippers, and poems imprinted inside jean pockets. EDUN is working towards using more organic materials, and all of our t-shirts are made from 100% organic cotton.
