Gabriela Artigas challenges the very definition of “jewelry,” blurring the lines between adornment and armor. Her collections include chokers, cuffs, necklaces, earrings, and individually crafted belts, as well as some avant-garde creations which are worn around the shoulders or chest, or wrapped around the hand from wrist to thumb. Gabriela has gained recognition in her current home of Los Angeles, being the only designer featured in the Museum of Contemporary Art's first ever store catalogue, as well as the only designer featured in the Times' review of Spring 2005 Fashion Week.
