These mixed chain tassel earrings are made from at least five different vintage gold necklaces. Gold earrings hang from a new 14K earwire, and silver hang from a new sterling earwire. All vintage components are carefully hand selected and cleaned before they are transformed into Dirty Librarian Chains. Earrings are packaged with sheets of vintage dictionary pages and secured onto a printed book card to protect the jewelry during transit. An authenticity card is also included. All DLC jewelry is made by hand in our Brooklyn NY studio. Length: 3.25 inches long.
Dirty Librarian Chains wants to take good care of the earth. The main goal that motivates designer, Susan Domelsmith, is to create beautiful statement jewelry without any additional waste through manufacturing or plating. Every piece in this collection is at least 80% carefully cleaned and inspected vintage materials. We also love the new one-of-a-kind story that is created through the combined histories of all of the distinct components within each DLC product.
